Ford Motors Email Design

Over the course of the summer, the Ford clients gave us prompts for email themes and timelines (such as: Mustang Week, Back to School, etc). I worked with the copywriter intern to produce an alternative intern option along with the design lead assigned to that project. Normally, the design lead would produce an alternative version, so my work was replacing real employees work and was presented as a legitimate option for the clients.

This was part of my first project done for VML Map. I had an outline presented to me by a strategist intern and worked with a copywriter intern. This was intended to be a practice project for the interns, and was not presented to clients.

Part 2 of my first intern project. I designed in Figma for both desktop and mobile viewing.

My proudest project at VML Map. I made this near the end of my internship and had experience presenting my work to the real clients. I was able to create an email design for Mustang Week that was presented alongside my senior designers work as a variable alternative.

We were A and B testing different cars in the hero image, this is the B test alternative for Mustang Week.
The clients ended up officially choosing my option as the one to be sent out to subscribers emails, a big accomplishment for me as an intern.

This was the first ad campaign that would be shown to real clients. I was only tasked with creating the hero image.
This was for Bronco Birthday. I found that it was very difficult to balance the rugged energy of Bronco with something as playful as a birthday. This ad campaign was a challenge for me, but once I started to get the balance right, I think my final design was well done. I chose to blend the rough collaged paper feel with the concept of a birthday card, inviting all the users to celebrate with Bronco.

This campaign was targeted towards Ford SUV owners, demonstrating the accessories that are available for back to school necessities. This one was hard for me because I had to balance school/children themes with the seriousness of Ford. I ended up creating a sticker-like design for each image, giving the email a classroom feel.

Miscellaneous other activities I did while at VML MAP. From left to right: Design team brainstorming session for Ford subscription names, Sisters of Disruption: A gift logo to 2 Ford clients.
